Bleecker Street has picked up U.S. distribution rights for "NDA," the debut feature from writer-director Audrey Ellis Fox. The psychological thriller stars Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler in a role that marks a sharp turn from her breakout work in musicals and blockbusters.
The film centers on a young actress who lands a life-changing role in a major franchise. But the contract comes with a strict non-disclosure agreement that slowly begins to isolate her from everyone she trusts. As the walls close in, she starts to question whether the secrecy is protecting her career or trapping her in something far more sinister.
Fox, who also wrote the screenplay, has described the project as a tense exploration of power dynamics in the entertainment industry. The film reportedly leans into slow-burn suspense rather than jump scares, with Zegler carrying much of the emotional weight on screen.
No release date has been set yet, but the acquisition signals confidence from Bleecker Street, a distributor known for championing smart, character-driven genre films. For Zegler, "NDA" continues a pattern of choosing ambitious projects that challenge her range, following her acclaimed turn in "West Side Story" and upcoming appearances in major studio films.
Production details and additional cast members have not been announced.
