Expanding Opportunities: New School Psychology Pathway in High School Mentorship Program

Building on the success of its inaugural year, the Mid-Ohio ESC is opening new doors for high school students by adding a School Psychology pathway to its professional mentorship program. This expansion aims to provide students with valuable insights and experiences in the field of psychology, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for future careers in mental health and educational support.

The program pairs high school students with experienced professionals in the field, allowing them to engage in hands-on learning and gain a deeper understanding of the role of school psychologists. Participants will have the opportunity to observe and participate in various activities, including assessments, counseling sessions, and collaborative meetings with educators and parents.

This initiative not only enhances the educational experience for students but also helps to address the growing need for mental health professionals in schools. By fostering early interest and providing mentorship, the Mid-Ohio ESC is investing in the future of both its students and the community.
